TLC fully operational at Level 2

12 August 2020

The Lines Company (TLC) is considered an essential business and will be fully operational during all levels of lockdown.

Lines crews will be working with strict safety and hygiene protocols in place including social distancing.  All office staff, including the Customer Service Team, will continue to operate.

Chief executive Sean Horgan said, “We will continue to ensure we keep our customers connected to electricity and will respond to government direction as required.”

“The safety of the community and our team, as well as being able to keep our customers connected to electricity, remains our priority,” Horgan said.

TLC’s staff, including those in the field, will practice safe physical distancing and hygiene practices including contact tracing. “Please support our staff in order to keep themselves, our customers and the wider community safe” said Horgan.

The King St East office will remain open for now, but no longer will accept cheques or cash over the counter from 1 September.

“Customers can pay their bills online or by visiting any branch of Westpac, ANZ or BNZ.  We’re also encouraging customers to reach out by phone or email for any queries, including how to pay their bill. Our team are working and we’re here to help,” said Horgan.

Under Alert Level 2 TLC will continues all business operations, including meter reading operations for all customers.

If and when things change, we will provide regular updates as we did during the previous COVID-19 lockdown.  More COVID-19 information can be found at https://covid19.govt.nz/
