We will permanently disconnect you from our network if the legal owner of the installation (ie house or building) asks us to do so.
Permanent disconnections are usually done for safety reasons and are free of charge. Your meter will be removed from the property. If you’d like to arrange this, please call us on 0800 367 546 and our team will talk you through the process.
You can request a temporary disconnection in order to carry out maintenance (such as house painting) which could affect the lines and wires on your property. To arrange this, please call your retailer or our contracting division on 0800 367 546 (option 3).
Other contractors may undertake temporary disconnections or de-energisations for you provided that:
Your property can be re-connected to our network if it was previously switched off.
If you don’t know when the connection was switched off, call our Customer Service Team and we will check for you.
