Got a question about your connection or account? Or would you like to become a TLC customer? You’ve come to the right place. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about connecting to our network.

Unlike other parts of New Zealand, we’re privileged to have a direct relationship with our customers. That means you’ll receive two separate bills – one from The Lines Company for the use of our network, and one from your energy retail provider for your electricity consumption.

We can provide fast and efficient service as a result, as your retailer doesn’t have to act as a ‘go between’ to arrange new connections or fix any faults. We can also give you clear, unbiased advice on how to manage your electricity consumption.

  • New Connections

    If you’re new to our region, or you’ve just built a new home, commercial building or another installation which requires power, please get in touch.
  • Faults & Outages

    In order to ensure you have power at the flick of a switch, The Lines Company has to manage temporary network outages from time to time.
  • FAQs

    From time to time The Lines Company rolls out new projects that may generate questions from our customers. This is the place to find answers.
  • Your Meter

    Analogue meters are being phased out and replaced by smart meters which offer a number of advantages to both customers and retailers. About 70 per cent of New Zealand homes now have smart meters.
