We’re contributing to the overall wellbeing of our region through provision of support for major initiatives which will have a positive impact on our community.

Our owners, WESCT, encourage us in our goal to do our bit for the community. With their support, we’re partnering with leading local organisations on new and exciting projects – as well as undertaking some of our own.

WAITOMO SPORTS STADIUM

We’ve pledged our support to the construction of the new sports stadium in Te Kūiti. We’ll be working closely with Waitomo District Council and the construction teams to ensure we’re adding value. Providing advice and support on energy efficient systems is just one way we’ll be doing our bit.

ENERGY EDUCATION

Providing energy education to the public is one of the ways we keep our community involved with electricity distribution and the energy industry. Offering resources on energy efficiency, home heating, and safety around electricity improves the relationship customers have with energy. We offer a variety of programmes, including energy seminars and a school pilot aimed at educating primary school students.
